Holy Hive released their debut album Float Back To You last year, leaving us stunned and craving more. Luckily for us, there have been two singles since its release, 'Color It Easy', 'I Don't Envy Yesterdays', and now a fresh track, 'Ain't That The Way'. With fast finger-picked banjo, acoustic guitar, and slow-motion skiffle drums, the new track definitely feels like it's veering away from the classic soul sound that's present on Holy Hive's debut album, but the band's skilful playing and singer Paul spring's charming falsetto still very much intact. It seems that Paul Spring naturally falls into heart-felt melodies whether he's accompanied by a groove or more blue-grass inspired instrumentation which can be heard on 'Ain't That The Way'. 'Ain't That The Way' is taken from Holy Hive's self titled album due out on Big Crown Records September 24th and we can't wait to hear more of this developed sound. -Ellie Rose-Davies
